Disclaimer: The following information is updated for 2023. It is for educational purposes.

In the state of Maryland, one city has been ranked as one of the ugliest cities in America. Of course, it's just an opinion and some may disagree, but it has been ranked as one of the ugliest nonetheless.

One website made a list of the ugliest cities in the United States. Here's what the one in Maryland was.

It was Baltimore, MD. The population here is roughly 575,000 people.

The website says, "Many Reddit users mentioned Baltimore as one of the ugliest cities they have visited. The city has a history of poverty, crime, and urban decay, which has resulted in many abandoned buildings and a general lack of aesthetic appeal. However, the city has been trying to revitalize and restore some of its historic buildings, so it may soon be considered a more attractive city."

The website makes sure to mention that this is merely an opinion. It says, "It is important to note that the opinions expressed are subjective and may not reflect the views of everyone. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and what one person finds unattractive, another person may find beautiful."

"The cities mentioned on the thread may not be the most attractive, but they all have their own unique histories and attractions that make them worth visiting," the website goes on to say.

Despite being ranked as one of the ugliest cities in the United States, the city of Baltimore is still considered great by many people and it certainly shouldn't discourage you from visiting!

That's the place in Maryland that has been ranked as one of the ugliest cities in the United States.
