The water park at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, Buccaneer Bay, is officially now open on the weekends according to a post made yesterday by the park on Instagram.

"Buccaneer Bay, Florida's only spring-fed waterpark is now open on the weekends.," the post states furthering, "Buccaneer Bay is included in the price of park admission. We highly recommend arriving early on the weekends, so plan YOUR visit accordingly."

Water park activities include the water slides, lazy river and kiddie pool.

Admission into the park is a first-come-first-serve basis and it's likely to reach capacity quickly on the weekends. Parking spots are also limited, and another good reason to arrive early.

"Spring and summer are busy seasons for Weeki Wachee Springs. Please plan to arrive early. On weekends and during the summer the park reaches capacity quickly. Guests will be turned away when the park is full. Guests will be admitted later in the day, when there is space," the state park's "Know before you go" section of the website cautions.

The water park activities will be open only on the weekends until May 27, when they will be open daily until the end of the summer season.

Entrance into the park is $13 for adults and $8 for children ages 6 to 12.
