A pair of legendary ’80s Boston bands are reuniting for a worthy cause in January. And it’s a “One Night Only” situation, so take note. O Positive formed in the suburbs west of Boston in 1983. They were invited to perform in the Rock & Roll Rumble in 1985, and while they didn’t make the finals, they did make an EP, 1985’s Only Breathing, that put them on the map. Throughout the rest of the ’80s and into the ’90s, O Positive were a Boston scene mainstay, getting plenty of airplay on radio stations like WBCN and WFNX.
