Baltimore Shooting Leaves Woman Dead and Man Injured
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – A woman was fatally shot in Western Baltimore Tuesday evening. A man was also shot. The Baltimore Police Department is investigating the shooting. Shortly before 6:30 pm, police were on patrol and were near the 1300 Block of Booth Street when the officers witnessed a shooting. At the location, police found a 21-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to both of his legs. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. An additional victim, 46-year-old Kimberly Benjamin, was found at the intersection of McHenry Street and South Carey Street. Two Separate Shooting Incidents in Baltimore on June 7, 2023: Urgent Appeal for Information
Two separate shooting incidents occurred in Baltimore on June 7, 2023. In the first incident, Western District officers were called to investigate a shooting in the 1800 block of W. Lafayette, where they found a 55-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment while Western District Shooting detectives took over the investigation. Preliminary information suggested that the victim and an unidentified suspect were in a verbal dispute before the shooting. Anyone with information is urged to contact Western District detectives or Metro Crime Stoppers.
