Person in Sedan Shot at Cars on I-495 in Fairfax Co.
A person in a sedan shot at several cars on the Beltway in Fairfax County Sunday, authorities say. Troopers responded to reports of the shooting at about 5 p.m. The Sedan was driving on Interstate 495 near Exit 52 towards the Little River Turnpike, according to the Virginia State Police.
Three arrested for arson in Leesburg Clubhouse Drive fires
The Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office on March 16 arrested three suspects in connection with a Jan. 23 arson at 59 Clubhouse Drive, SW, in Leesburg. The structure, formerly operated as the clubhouse for Westpark Golf Club, was the subject of an ongoing investigation of other fires that occurred around Jan. 9 of this year.
Prince William Police asking for help solving 14-year-old cold case
According to police, on March 15, 2009, the body of 31-year-old Pablo Cruz Gamez was found in a wooded area near 13976 Jefferson Davis Highway in the Woodbridge area. It was revealed after an autopsy that his cause of death was blunt force trauma.
Victim confronts man who tried filming her in Manassas Walmart bathroom
Police are looking for a man who tried to record a woman using the bathroom last week at the Walmart on Liberia Avenue in Manassas. The incident happened March 15 at 6:40 p.m. when the 56-year-old victim saw a phone being held above the bathroom stall, Prince William County Police Master Officer Renee Carr said.
Fire at Aspen Hill Home Likely Caused by Dishwasher
A hardwired dishwasher likely caused a fire at a home in Aspen Hill on Saturday morning, according to Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson Pete Piringer. A fire broke out in an unoccupied basement apartment of a two-story, single-family home in the 14400 block of Big Bear Court. Upon arrival, firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly, and it is believed that the dishwasher in the basement kitchen was the likely source of the fire.
Police investigate shooting on highway in Fairfax
WASHINGTON — Virginia State Police officers are investigating a shooting they say happened Sunday evening on a beltway in Fairfax County, Virginia. Police received a call around 5:10 p.m. about a person shooting at multiple cars while traveling north on Interstate 495 near Exit 52 (Little River Turnpike) and continuing to travel north on I-495.

SILVER SPRING, MD – Police are searching for a girl who has gone missing in Silver Spring. Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Kimora Neal, a missing 11-year-old child from the Briggs Chaney area of Silver Spring. MCFRS Respond to House Fire Sunday Afternoon; No Injuries, $275K in Damage
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a call for a chimney fire on Rippling Brook Drive in Aspen Hill at approximately 3pm on Sunday afternoon. According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, a neighbor called 911 to report a chimney fire and crews arrived to fire showing from the roof and attic of the home. The fire started in the attic of the home and is believed to electrical in nature. The sole occupant of the home was able to escape without injury, but there was approximately $275k in damage.

Rockville Man Arrested for Burglary During Apartment Fire
ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND – A Rockville man is in custody for a burglary he committed while Montgomery County Fire Rescue investigated a fire at the Arrive Apartment complex on Saturday. At approximately 6 a.m., police and fire rescue personnel responded to the location for a three-alarm fire in progress. Fire rescue personnel evacuated the building and forced entry into several apartments to ensure the safety of all occupants.
