The annual Loudoun County Arbor Day tree photo contest is underway and Loudoun County wants to see your “trees of character.” Photos will be accepted through Wednesday, April 12, in advance of the virtual Loudoun County Arbor Day Celebration. Winning photos and honorable mentions are scheduled to be posted on the County’s website at loudoun.gov/trees on April 28.
Find and Tour Cherry Blossoms in MoCo with ‘Cherry Tree Finder Map’ by Montgomery Parks
Montgomery Parks is making it easy as pie to find and tour cherry blossoms in parks located throughout the county. Montgomery Parks’ online tree finder map allows cherry tree seekers to easily locate the beautiful blooms; the map features pink dots to represent cherry trees located in parks. According to the National Park Service, peak bloom is expected between March 22-25, 2023.

New Pizza Hut Now Open in Rockville
Pizza Hut has opened its newest Montgomery County location at 842-B Rockville Pike in Rockville, located between Maki and Pho Nom Nom in the space that was previously home to Geico. Pho Nom Nom will be opening a second restaurant at 18509 N Frederick Ave at Gaithersburg S.C. (that’s the name of the shopping center), at the former site of Pho Viet Saigon.
Margarita Bar & Grill Coming to Germantown
Signage is up for Margaritas Bar & Grill at 19201 Frederick Rd in Germantown. The restaurant is taking over the space that was previously occupied by the Fraternal Order of Eagle #3509 and Captain Mori’s Seafood House. Seafood in the Buff, a mobile steamed crab business, operates out of the parking lot of this location in the summer months. No additional information is known about the new restaurant at this time. There are two Margaritas Bar & Grill locations in Georgia, and signage at the Germantown location reads “serving Middle GA since 1988,” but it is unclear if the restaurants are related.

At Leopold’s Preserve, you can hike the trails and see nature at its finest. You’ll see the ducks in the marsh as you stroll across a meadow. Loudoun’s latest Bruster’s ice cream shop opens this month
The sign is up at Loudoun’s latest Bruster’s Real Ice Cream shop and they are preparing to open by the end of this month.
