BRISTOL, Va. (WCYB) — The city of Bristol, Virginia is looking at the idea of removing trees on Euclid Avenue. According to the city, many trees along both the north and south side of Euclid Avenue, including the center median, from Chester Street to Vernon Street, are approaching the end of their life.
Settlement Reached in Bristol Hotel Collapse Lawsuit
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — A recent settlement has ended the legal battle between Tenneva LLC, the developer of a Bristol hotel, and Cincinnati Insurance Company, following a dramatic partial collapse of the hotel during its construction in September 2020. Tanner Arnold, a firefighter and paramedic at the Bristol Tennessee Fire Department, has organized a holiday toy drive for his community. His interest in charity work began at 12, when he saw his grandfather and others from the Churchill EMS give holiday gifts to those in need. This inspired Arnold to suggest a toy drive to the Bristol Tennessee Professional Firefighters Association.

The Sheriff's Office shared its daily news report for 12/01/23, which included several incidents. The first incident was the illegal possession of cannabis in a car. Deputies stopped a vehicle in Oswego Township due to an equipment violation.
