Man, 26, found fatally shot inside SUV on Bronx street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating the death of a man found fatally shot inside a vehicle in the Bronx Monday afternoon, authorities said.

At 2:20 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a man shot at 1180 Union Ave. in Morrisania.

Upon arrival, police discovered a 26-year-old man shot in the abdomen sitting in the passenger seat of a Honda CRV.

EMS pronounced the victim deceased on scene.

Further investigation determined that the victim was shot at East 163rd Street and Reverend James Polite Avenue and then driven to the Union Avenue location.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation is ongoing.

The identity of the deceased is pending family notification.
