NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man has been busted in Georgia for allegedly killing a Brooklyn electrician last September.

Shamar Wiltshire, 22, shot Ronald Ortiz multiple times in front of the Boulevard Houses on Stanley Avenue near Ashford Street in East New York just before 12 p.m. on Sept. 14, police said Sunday.

NYPD Chief of Detectives James Essig told reporters after the killing that Ortiz was shot at point-blank range and that the shooting was "specifically targeted."

Wiltshire, who lives in the Boulevard Houses, then went on the run before he was finally arrested in Stockbridge, Ga., the Daily News reported.

He was extradited to New York on Friday and is slated to be arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court on murder charges.

A motive for the shooting wasn't immediately clear.

Ortiz worked as an electrician and construction worker and played shortstop in a number of Williamsburg softball leagues and a local basketball league, according to the report.

At the time of the killing, the 30-year-old victim was reportedly on his lunch break.
