No jail time for driver involved in crash that injured golf cart riders during Jersey Shore car rally
A driver charged with causing a serious crash involving a golf cart during an unsanctioned car rally in Wildwood will not face a prison sentence, court officials said Monday. Eryk Wnek, 24, of Linden, was indicted on a second-degree count of aggravated assault and third- and fourth-degree assault by auto charges in connection to the crash, which occurred in September 2022. Wnek was granted acceptance into the pre-trial intervention probationary program during a hearing on Monday, state court officials said.
