Friendly reminder to please avoid using Town trails when they are wet or muddy. Many people ask WHY the Town does not want the public to use the Town’s trails when they are wet. The reason is that it causes damage, as you can see in this picture. Damage left by using trails when they are wet, stick around when the trails finally dry out. This can create tripping hazards for all trail users.

Two people were rescued after their vehicle was stranded amid flooding in the Cave Creek area early Wednesday, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. Two men reportedly attempted to cross a flooded roadway in their work truck near Rockaway Hills Road and New Cahava Ranch, the Sheriff's Office said.

Rising floodwaters lead to more evacuation orders in Arizona
SEDONA, Ariz. (AP) — Some evacuation orders were lifted while others remained as heavy rains began to dissipate in northern Arizona, but flooding threats lingered. Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials said Wednesday afternoon that residents in Sedona can go home. Camp Verde residents were told to evacuate because of flooding in low-lying areas. Evacuations also were ordered for portions of Black Canyon City along the Agua Fria River in Yavapai County. The National Weather Service in Flagstaff says there will be excessive runoff even though the stormy weather has appeared to wind down. Area creeks, streams and rivers will see higher flows.
