Three OBX Storm Teams Take Home Championships at Atlantic Cup Tournament
OBX Storm is proud to Congratulate three of our teams who each brought home a Championship win in the Atlantic Cup Tournament in Virginia Beach on December 2 and 3. The Riptides U18 Girls clinched first place after a solid weekend of play to take home the Championship under Coach Jason Stevens. Their two games on Saturday, pulling out a win in both, in advance of their final game on Sunday morning. They came ready to play Sunday morning and came out on top. Coach Stevens is glad that the team was able to complete the fall season with a Tournament win.

Remembering Darryl Cummings: A Legacy of Excellence in Tennis Coaching
Former Norfolk State Tennis head coach Darryl Cummings, known for his contributions to the Hampton Roads community, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 59. Cummings coached at Norfolk State for three seasons and amassed over 600 wins throughout his more than 20-year career as a head coach. He also served as the head coach at Old Dominion University for the longest period of his career. Cummings was highly respected in the tennis community and mentored many players, leaving behind a lasting impact.
