Driver charged with DUI after crashing on the CBBT
SUFFOLK, Va. — A driver has been charged with driving under the influence after a crash on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel Tuesday morning. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel Director of Operations, Edward Spencer said that a northbound vehicle had struck a crash cushion protecting a maintenance lane closure at the North Channel Bridge around 2:35 a.m. Lanes reopened just before 5:00 a.m.

'Magical experience' | Garden of Lights returns to Norfolk Botanical Garden
NORFOLK, Va. — One of Hampton Roads' favorite holiday traditions has returned to the Norfolk Botanical Garden for the 29th year. Norfolk Resident Charged and Hospitalized Following Faulk Road Shooting Incident
Khamry A. Gregory, a 21-year-old man, has been charged following a shooting on Faulk Road, Norfolk, Virginia, on December 3, 2023. Gregory and two others were injured in the incident. Norfolk Police found Gregory with a severe gunshot wound and he was rushed to the hospital.

Virginia Man Identified as Victim of Fatal Car Vs. Pedestrian Crash in Fox Lake
(Fox Lake, IL) A man died over the weekend after being struck by a vehicle in the Fox Lake area. Police and fire officials say the 28-year-old victim was struck in the early morning hours of Sunday in the area of Route 59 and Grand Avenue. The man was transported to Advocate Condell where he was later pronounced dead. Coroner’s officials have identified the deceased as Troy Dowsett, of Portsmouth, Virginia…a cause of death was listed as blunt force injuries sustained in the incident. The driver of the offending vehicle, a 34-year-old man, was said to stay on scene and has been cooperative in the ongoing investigation. No charges have been announced at this point.
