While traveling, we often rely on Tripadvisor.com to get recommendations on restaurants, and we've been pleased with the results. So, we thought we'd give it a try for our home area near Marietta, GA.

(Forsyth County, GA) Months after the Cumming City Center’s official opening, one of its tenants is finally ready to open its doors to the public. Top KNOTch Boutique will host a grand opening celebration this Saturday, March 18 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Available through Sunday, April 10, North Italia’s two Atlanta locations will debut The Georgia Peach pizza! This sweet, balanced creation is a play on a Hawaiian pizza featuring a Georgian staple, peaches. This hand-tossed pie ($18) was dreamt up by Executive Chef Joe Genovese utilizing seasonal ingredients including peach panna, mozzarella, porchetta, peach chutney and saba.

Kelly Family Distributors, an exclusive, premium, black-owned alcohol distributor, is partnering with Smith Devereux Wines and comedian Cedric the Entertainer for an exciting wine tasting and bottle signing event in Alpharetta, Georgia. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 7 pm to 9 pm at Total Wine & More.

The first of the 2023 migrating hummingbirds have been reported in North Georgia, and that means lots more are on the way to Cobb County, North Georgia and beyond. According to Hummingbirdcentral.com, the tiny flitters have been spotted in Arnoldsville, Lake Oconee, Canton and Young Harris in North Georgia. And coming right behind those adventurist early navigators are lots more, according to spotters in South Georgia, Florida and Alabama.

We visit North Georgia's Gibbs Gardens during the spring blooming season for daffodils, tulips and more. As someone who enjoys good food and loves trying out new restaurants, I was thrilled to hear about the opening of Superica in Ashford Lane in Dunwoody, Georgia. Superica is a Tex-Mex restaurant that has gained quite a reputation in the Atlanta area for its delicious food and vibrant atmosphere.

The trial begins soon for a 46-year-old woman accused of murdering her elderly fiance and living with the body for months afterwards, according to the Gainesville Times. Tabitha Zeldia Wood was arrested on June 9, 2022, two months after police conducted a welfare check on 82-year-old Leroy Franklin Kramer Jr., discovering his body in the home, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said last year. Warrants obtained by the Times revealed that Kramer was hit with a blunt object on his chest and neck. An autopsy determined his cause of death to be from blunt force trauma and sharp force trauma.
