LAREDO, Tx. (KGNS) - It’s the final countdown to the Great American Solar Eclipse and KGNS+ is bringing you live coverage from south Texas. KGNS’s very own Lisely Garza and Richard ‘Heatwave’ Berler will be in Eagle Pass, Texas providing all of the updates on the solar eclipse and sharing some of the stories from stargazers from all across the globe.

Del Rio is 0-10 against Eagle Pass since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Del Rio Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Eagle Pass Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Del Rio is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Construction Begins On National Guard Camp In Eagle Pass
Construction is underway on a military base camp for National Guard soldiers in Eagle Pass, near the Texas-Mexico border. The state hired a New Braunfels-based company in February to build the base in a former RV park on the Rio Grande. The base is expected to house about 1,800 Texas National Guard troops as part of Gov. Greg Abbott 's border security initiative, known as Operation Lone Star. The facility could cost more than $400 million.
