South Otsego road project scheduled to begin April 1
GAYLORD — Work on the project to revamp the I-75 Business Loop/South Otsego Avenue in Gaylord will begin on April 1. The Michigan Department of Transportation's $13.3 million investment will involve the rebuilding of 2.2 miles of the road between southbound I-75 Exit 279 and Wisconsin Avenue/Grandview Boulevard. It will include rebuilding the asphalt roadway, a new roundabout at McCoy Road, non-motorized pathways and streetscape improvements.

Project Connect returns April 10, volunteers needed
PETOSKEY — After a five-year hiatus, Project Connect is returning on April 10 at North Central Michigan College. Project Connect is a day of service for those in need in Charlevoix and Emmet counties. The event was first started in 2007, but had to take a multi-year break due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
