Repeat felon pleads guilty to possession of guns, intent to distribute cocaine
A Richmond man pleaded guilty yesterday to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition. According to court documents, on Sept. 19, 2023, Richmond Police Narcotics Detectives and the Virginia State Police Tactical Team executed a search warrant at the residence of Errez Tekel Perry, 30. After no response when the team knocked and announced, the team breached the door and entered the residence. Perry ran from the front door area toward the rear of the house, ignored the team’s commands and was taken into custody.

A Black Virginia man is grieving the loss of his wife after she was fatally struck by a car in what police suspect was an intentional car crash. Derek Bizzell tells KCRG he and his wife, Shaunda, were on a walk in their neighborhood of Chesterfield, Virginia, Monday evening. He said it was the first time his wife joined her for one of his regular strolls. Yet, on their second lap around the neighborhood, Bizzell told reporters that he noticed a car veering from the middle of the road toward the sidewalk where they were walking.
