Car and train collision in Beverly closes streets, delays MBTA line
A train and a vehicle were involved in a collision in Beverly, Massachusetts, on Wednesday afternoon, police said, urging drivers to avoid the area. The crash appeared to have taken place near the Prides Crossing MBTA station — Beverly police said Hale Street was closed between Haskell and Thissell streets.

Tewksbury police arrest two on drug charges after hotel bust
TEWKSBURY — Chief Ryan Columbus announced that the Tewksbury Police Department apprehended two individuals on drug-related offenses Friday. Julio Rivera, age 35, of Lawrence, faces charges for possession of a Class A drug (subsequent offense), while Kara Waugh, age 31, also of Lawrence, has been charged with possession of a Class A drug and possession of a Class B drug.
Salem and Lynn Men Plead Guilty in Boston to Drug Trafficking Conspiracy Involving Deadly Counterfeit Pills
Two Massachusetts men have admitted their roles in a drug trafficking scheme that flooded the streets with thousands of deadly fake pills. Kion Shepherd of Salem and Raymond Kulakowski of Lynn each pleaded guilty last week in a Boston federal court to conspiracy charges related to the distribution of counterfeit prescription pills laced with fentanyl and methamphetamine, officials said.
