Fire damages multiple homes in Dunkirk
DUNKIRK, N.Y. — The Dunkirk Fire Department are looking into a fire that displaced ten people. Several people contacted 911 to report the first just after 6:30am Monday. When firefighters arrived, they found 535 Columbus and 533 Columbus with heavy fire conditions. Officials say 535 Columbus was vacant. All of the occupants at 533 Columbus were able to escape without injury.

Fredonia Resident Arrested for DWI Following Crash in Stockton
A Fredonia man was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle crash. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a crash on County Route 380 in the Town of Stockton on Saturday around 12:32 AM. The operator of the vehicle was identified as 62-year-old Joseph Kucmierz, who deputies later determined was allegedly intoxicated. Kucmierz was taken into custody for DWI and later released with tickets to appear in the Town of Stockton Court at a later date and time.

Guadalupe Martinez, a 30-year-old restaurant owner from Hamburg, has admitted to Grand Larceny in the Second Degree and Criminal Tax Fraud in the Third Degree. Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced these severe charges, which are related to Martinez's failure to pay state sales taxes for her restaurant, Mexico City, from December 2017 to March 2021.
