No one is hurt after bullets hit a Jefferson City home. Police were called to the Oxford Drive area early Saturday morning. They say shots were fired following a disturbance at a large party. No one was injured. So far, no one is in custody.

Jefferson City woman accused of box knife assault charged
JEFFERSON CITY − A Jefferson City woman faces seven charges after she was accused of using a box knife in a domestic disturbance early Sunday morning. Tiffany Harris, 33, is charged with first-degree domestic assault, first-degree burglary, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Port Arthur — Port Arthur Police Chief Tim Duriso tells KFDM/Fox 4 News that a shooting in a vacant store at the Jefferson City Shopping Center was accidental. The shooting was reported at about midnight in the 3300 block of Twin City Highway. Police from Port Arthur and Groves responded. They found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken by Acadian Ambulance to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital. His injuries not believed to be serious.

JEFFERSON CITY − Pavement repairs, guardrail improvements and signal detection work will begin on various roads in Jefferson City Tuesday. Born in Jefferson City, Missouri in 1918, on Friday, Retired Colonel Bill Wheeler turned 105 years old yesterday. Nate and Belinda Shaffer hosted a luncheon at Wiley’s Championship BBQ. Family, friends, and representatives from Fort Stewart were on hand to celebrate this true American hero.
