Marietta man charged with strangling another man to death, police say
A Marietta man was arrested and accused of strangling a man to death, Cobb police said. Albert Anthony Reddick, 31, got into a fight with Diamante Crump Friday evening, which continued until Reddick choked Crump to death, his arrest warrant states. Reddick is also being charged with obstruction after he allegedly “physically resisted officers and did not comply with verbal commands,” the warrant added. He is charged with felony murder, felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor obstruction, and is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.

Easter Egg Drop in Marietta

Director of H.A.V.E.N. Academy, seven principals retiring from CCSD
There was a slew of retirements among principals and other high-ranking employees in the Cobb County School District, as announced by the district at its school board meeting Thursday. Robin Baumgarten, the director of CCSD's H.A.V.E.N. Academy, part of the Georgia Network of Educational and Therapeutic Support (GNETS) for special education, will retire on June 1, Keeli Bowen, chief human resources officer for the district, announced. Seven principals around the county will also be retiring later this year, Bowen said.
