    TBI investigating fire at Warriors’ Path Horse Stables

    KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — Emergency crews responded to a fire at the Warriors’ Path Riding Stables on Friday morning.

    Warriors Path Volunteer Fire Department’s Chief Ben Wexler told News Channel 11 crews were dispatched to a fire at the lower horse stables just before 5:30 a.m.

    Upon arrival, the fire was fully involved and the building was mostly burnt up, Wexler said.

    The building was reportedly unoccupied and no animals were harmed in the fire.

    The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) released the following statement to News Channel 11:

    “TBI special agents are investigating the circumstances leading to a fire that occurred at Warriors’ Path Riding Stables early Friday morning. The stables were vacant at the time of the incident. At this time, the investigation into the cause of the fire remains active and ongoing.”

    Warriors Path VFD was assisted by the Bloomingdale and Sullivan West Volunteer Fire Departments, Sullivan County EMS and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
