    Lake City police to increase presence over the weekend after home hit in Friday shooting

    LAKE CITY, S.C. (WBTW) — The City of Lake City Police Department will increase its police presence and patrols this weekend after shots were fired and hit a home early Friday morning, authorities said.

    Police received reports of shots fired and a home hit shortly after midnight Friday, police said.

    “We encourage anyone with information regarding this incident to reach out to our department,” said Lake City Police Chief Patrick Miles. “We are available 24/7 at 843-374-5411.”

    Tips can also be called in anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. The shooting is being investigated and additional information will be released at a later date, police said.
