The true resilience and determination of the Generals varsity volleyball team was put on show last night. Let me set the scene for you. The Generals were neck and neck with Newburyport in a volleyball game that had a huge crowd in attendance. It was the third set, and both teams had one set win under their belt. The third set was 14-21; Newburyport was leading by 7. The set felt like an easy win for Newburyport, and the crowd was ready to give up and move on. But the Generals were not ready to give up yet; over the course of about twenty minutes, the Generals put up 9 straight points that brought them to a 23-21 lead over Newburyport.
