WASHINGTON — Thousands of drivers were given citations or warnings as Fairfax County kicked off the first wave of the 2024 Road Shark campaign. This coordinated enforcement and education effort, launched earlier this month, builds upon the success of last year’s initiative, which resulted in nearly 25,000 citations and warnings over four phases. In 2023, the Road Shark campaign successfully promoted safer roads with the support of FCPD officers, partners, and engaged drivers, accomplishing a significant decrease in traffic-related incidents and a remarkable improvement in overall road safety.

Pipe replacement will force one-day closure of Fox Mill Road in Herndon
