Mass. State Lottery winner: $100K ‘Mass Cash’ ticket sold at Kwik Shop

A winning $100,000 “Mass Cash” ticket was sold from a Kwik Shop Market on Monday, Jan. 30, during the daily drawing, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery.

The winning $100,000 ticket was sold in Salem from the Kwik Shop. Along with that $100,000 prize, there was also another $100,000 lottery prize won in Massachusetts from the Monday night Powerball drawing.

That winning $100,000 ticket was sold from a Cumberland Farms in Vineyard Haven. Another Powerball prize worth $50,000 was sold from a Wegmans in Chestnut Hill.

“Mass Cash” drawings occur daily at 9 p.m., and tickets to play are $1. A player must choose five numbers between 1 and 35, and there are three available prizes. If all five numbers match the numbers drawn, the “Mass Cash” player wins $100,000. If they match four numbers, the prize is $250, and if they match three, the prize is $10.

Overall, there were 829 winning lottery tickets worth at least $600 sold or claimed in Massachusetts on Monday, including 21 in Springfield and 30 in Worcester.

The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of all the winning tickets each day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.

The largest lottery prize won in the state of Massachusetts so far in 2023 was a $31 million Mega Millions prize. The $31 million ticket was sold for the Tuesday, Jan. 24 drawing and was purchased from a Stop & Shop in Belchertown. The prize was also the sixth-largest lottery prize ever won in the history of lottery in the state.
