Fergus Falls, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash on a slick freeway in western Minnesota claimed the life of a Minneapolis woman Friday afternoon.

The State Patrol responded to the wreck along eastbound I-94 between the Fergus Falls and Alexandria exits. The deadly crash was reported shortly after 1 p.m.

The state crash report indicates an eastbound transit van left the roadway and rolled. The sole passenger in the van, identified as 67-year-old Sandra Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The van driver, 56-year-old Bryan Sorenson of Williston, ND, was not hurt. Both Hill and Sorenson were buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the deadly crash, the report says. 

Troopers say there was snow and ice on the freeway at the time of the fatal wreck.
