Two more scholarship players no longer with the WVU Football program
A pair of scholarship defenders have not been with the WVU Football team during winter workouts, and will not take part in spring football. According to multiple sources, reserve linebacker Tirek Austin-Cave and reserve defensive lineman Zeiqui Lawton are no longer with the Mountaineer program. Austin-Cave recently posted on social media that he had entered the portal, while sources tell EerSports that Lawton may be medically retiring from the program. In a message earlier this month, Lawton denied that he was leaving the team.
