Charles sheriff's officers investigate fatal crash in Waldorf
Charles sheriff's officers responded to the area of St. Charles Parkway and Duncannon Road in Waldorf on Wednesday night for the report of a motor vehicle crash. A preliminary investigation showed a passenger car was traveling southbound on St. Charles Parkway on March 27 at 11:17 p.m. when it left the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire, a release from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office said. There were at least three individuals in the vehicle at the time of the crash. The driver and a passenger in the rear seats were able to get out of the vehicle, but the passenger in the front seat, identified as Jajuan Cobb, age 22, of Accokeek, was killed, the press release stated. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Charles sheriff's officer Walker at 301-609-3251.
