MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Three people were arrested after police found a variety of drugs during a recent Myrtle Beach traffic stop. A police report obtained by WMBF News states the stop happened in the area of 3rd Avenue South and Withers Swash Drive on March 23. An officer with the Myrtle Beach Police Department stated they pulled the vehicle over for failing to stop at a stop sign and ‘failing to maintain its lane in the same area.”

SCHP: Pedestrian killed on SC 707 in Myrtle Beach area
A 53-year-old pedestrian was killed while crossing S.C. 707 in the Socastee area just outside of Myrtle Beach on Saturday evening, according to authorities. A 2014 Buick Enclave was traveling north on S.C. 707 when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway about 8:20 p.m., said Master Trooper Brandon Bolt with the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The crash happened about a mile and a half south of Myrtle Beach, he said.
Gas prices in Myrtle Beach down almost 75 cents from last year
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - The price of a gallon of gas in Myrtle Beach is up 21 cents from a month ago, but has fallen significantly in the past year. Average gasoline prices in Myrtle Beach rose 9.1 cents in the last week; however, the price has fallen 72.8 cents from a year ago, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 197 stations in Myrtle Beach.
