PHOENIX — One man is dead, two women are injured and one child was taken to a hospital after a stabbing in Litchfield Park. Police forced entry at a residence near the intersection of 127th Avenue and Orange Drive north of Litchfield Park where they discovered the four victims and took a suspect into custody, according to a release.

It happened near 93rd Avenue and McKinley Street, which is north of Van Buren Street. Police said the 12-year-old was shot in the chest but didn’t say what led up to the shooting. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Police said before 9 p.m., he is in stable condition. Police said they are talking to at least one witness. An investigation is underway.
DUI driver arrested after leading officers on chase, ramming into another car in Phoenix
PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — A driver has been arrested after ramming a vehicle multiple times while driving under the influence on Friday night in Phoenix. Phoenix police responded to a call reporting an aggravated assault near 23rd Avenue and Indian School Road. The caller told police that their vehicle was being repeatedly rammed by a pickup truck driver behind their car. Officers found both vehicles near 35th and Missouri Avenues and tried to stop the vehicle that was ramming the other driver.
Impaired teen caused deadly hit-and-run crash in Maryvale, police say
PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) - An 18-year-old man was impaired when he ran a red light and caused a deadly crash before driving off in Maryvale on Sunday morning, according to police. Investigators said Saul Figueroa was heading north on 71st Avenue when he didn’t stop for a red light at Thomas Road and plowed into another vehicle around 4 a.m. The passenger in the other vehicle, 23-year-old Rubi Lopez Lopez, was found lying on the road. She died at the scene. Her driver wasn’t seriously hurt.
Child nearly drowns at Mesa home
MESA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — A child is in critical condition after nearly drowning at a Mesa home on Sunday evening. First responders were called out to a house near Horne and Southern Avenue. When they arrived, the child was already out of the water. It’s unclear how long the victim was underwater. Crews treated and drove the child to a nearby hospital, where they are in critical condition. The Mesa Fire and Medical Department didn’t release any other information.
