A man from Ottawa labeled a “soulless predator” is headed to prison for a very long time. A judge in Will County on Tuesday sentenced 44-year-old Christian Shepherd to 76 years in prison. He was given 39 years for solicitation of murder for hire and 37 years for solicitation of murder. Both sentences will have to be served back-to-back. Shepherd has to serve 85 percent of the total sentence and will get credit for the more than 12 years he's already spent behind bars.
