South Portland postal worker allegedly assisted drug trafficking ring
A South Portland mail carrier has been charged with helping a drug trafficking ring use the postal service to ship drugs. The mail carrier, Katie Montgomery, allegedly offered advice to FireBunny-USA, which authorities say shipped over ten-thousand packages of illegal drugs between 2019 and 2022. Montgomery told a court last February she's innocent of the charges.

PORTLAND, Maine — Officers with the Portland Police Department found a “discarded” handgun after an hours-long search on Saint Patrick’s Day. Police began searching for the firearm after receiving a call at approximately 2:40 a.m. about a discarded handgun in the area of Warren Ave, Portland Police Department Media Contact Brad Nadeau said in a news release.

Woman rescued from burning building in Arundel
ARUNDEL (WGME) -- Kennebunk Fire Department says they responded to a smoking building in Arundel Sunday morning and rescued a woman that was trapped inside. On Sunday morning at around 2:18am, Biddeford dispatch received a 911 call from a resident at 64 Limerick Road in Arundel for smoke in a building.
