Police identify 2 Richmond men fatally shot in January shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) -Two men in Richmond have died after police say they were shot in as police patrolled the area.

On Jan. 27, just after 3 p.m., Richmond police officers heard gunfire in the 1300 block of St. Paul Street.

Officers then found a man, 25-year-old Terry Brown, Jr., who had been shot. He was taken to an area hospital. A second man, 30-year-old Tyreese Robinson, arrived at the same hospital with a gunshot wound. Both men were pronounced dead.

Detectives determined Brown, Jr. shot Robinson, making Robinson the third homicide victim of 2023. Immediately after Robinson was shot, Brown Jr. was also shot and individuals who were around fled the area.
