ROCHESTER, Minn. - One person is displaced after a home caught fire early Saturday morning. The Rochester Fire Department says they responded to a house fire at 2 a.m. Saturday off Melrose Street SE. Rochester, MN Man Sentenced For Drugs & Weapons Convictions
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man has been sentenced to five years in prison for his conviction on felony drugs and weapons-related charges. 28-year-old Demonterious Jackson earlier admitted to a third-degree drug charge and illegal possession of a firearm in connection with two incidents last November and December. He also entered a guilty plea to a DWI charge as part of the plea agreement.

ROCHESTER, Minn.-There was a car show today at Rochester Chevrolet. The dealership had their 3rd annual "Memorial Day Weekend Corvette Show." Over 60 Corvettes were at the free show. There were Corvettes there from many different time periods. People could get a good look at the sports cars and talk to the owners about what it's like to have those types of vehicles. Floyd Albee, one of the dealership's product specialists, said that a car is much more than just a way to get around.

Rochester, MN Included in Air Quality Alert Due to Ozone Levels
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - An air-quality alert is now in effect for many areas of Minnesota, including the southeastern corner of the state. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency says the alert is due to ground-level ozone and will be in effect through 8 PM on Monday. The ozone levels are expected to increase this afternoon and reach a level that is considered unhealthy for sensitive groups, which include the very young, elderly Minnesotans, and people with chronic heart and respiratory conditions. It can also be unhealthy for people engaged in heavy, physical activity.

ROCHESTER, Minn.-There was a farmers market today at Graham Park. A business called "Laurel Confections" had lots of different kinds of items for sale. Some cost less than $10 and others cost more than $60. All of the products were made from locally-grown produce. Lisa Schutz, the owner, has been selling at Graham Park for several years. Jury find Rochester man guilty in assault on ex-girlfriend
ROCHESTER, Minn. – A man accused of assaulting a former girlfriend and a one-year-old child has been convicted on most charges. Rochester police say Jermaine La Johnson Sr., 52 of Rochester, went to the home of an ex-girlfriend on August 7, 2022, grabbed her by the neck and slapped her. Johnson was also charged with striking a one-year-old child lying next to the ex-girlfriend.
