Police: Rockford man wanted for 2022 homicide arrested in Florida
A Rockford man wanted in connection to a 2022 homicide has been taken into custody in Florida. Rockford police announced 29-year-old Dylan Denham was arrested Thursday. Denham was wanted in connection with an April 2022 fatal shooting in the area of 11th Street and 6th Avenue. Deontay Turner, 20, died in the shooting.

Teenager charged with firing shots during robbery that left woman shot in Woodstock
A 17-year-old boy has been charged as an adult for allegedly firing shots during an attempted home invasion and robbery where a woman was shot at a residence in Woodstock. Quran Broomfield, 17, of Rockford, was charged with armed robbery, attempted home invasion, aggravated discharge of a firearm, two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a handgun under 18.
