Roseville police are investigating the stabbing and shooting deaths of three men Saturday morning. When officers arrived at the apartment in the 1600 block of Eldridge Avenue about 2:30 a.m. they also found a fourth man with a “severe laceration” to his neck, Roseville police deputy chief Joe Adams said during a press conference Saturday afternoon.

The town of Antelope is in mourning following the tragic passing of Reuben Anikhimik, a 16-year-old boy. An unfortunate car accident took his life last Wednesday. It happened near the crossroads of Antelope Road and Antelope North Road.

A local businessman from Sacramento has raised concerns about rising instances of counterfeit cash transactions at his pizza restaurants. This includes numerous Little Caesars outlets, which have seen an increase in customers trying to pay with fake $50 notes.

SACRAMENTO – Lanes are back open after a crash on Highway 50 stalled traffic in the Sacramento area early Friday morning. It happened on the eastbound side of the freeway around 3 a.m. near the Pioneer Bridge, between 5th and 15th streets. At least two vehicles were involved, but exactly what led up to the crash is unclear. California Highway Patrol says there was major damage to both cars, with occupants suffering severe injuries. Officers had to close all lanes for a short time to get both vehicles off the freeway. All lanes are now back open. 

An investigation is underway involving an employee of Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) after a video emerged online that showed him pushing a student. The video showed the man, a staff member at Umoja International Academy Campus, forcibly interacting with a group of students, twice pushing one to the ground.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A woman was detained after allegedly making threats during a youth football game at Foothill High School, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said. According to deputies, first responders were called to Foothill High School around 1:45 p.m. Saturday after reports came in that a woman was armed with a gun and threatening people from the football field in the middle of a game.

This week in Elk Grove, California, there were three notable incidents. A homicide suspect wanted in connection with a September 5th homicide in Sacramento was arrested in Elk Grove on September 19th. In another incident, a woman named Tammy Dahlquist was arrested on Bond Road on September 20th on multiple warrants. Lastly, three correctional officers from High Desert State Prison were honored for their bravery during the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's Medal of Valor Ceremony.

The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department announced two suspects have been arrested in connection with a South Sacramento shooting that left one person dead and two others injured on September 8, 2023. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. in the 5300 block of Gordon Drive. Sheriff’s investigators believe the shooters thought the three victims were rival gang members.

SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. — A suspect is now in custody nearly four decades after a 6-year-old Vallejo boy was found dead in Sacramento County. According to a news release from the Solano County District Attorney’s Office, cold case investigators were recently reviewing a 1987 case from Vallejo. It involved a 6-year-old child who was abducted near his home and found dead four days later on Sherman Island in Sacramento County.

Fear is escalating among women in two prominent Antelope apartment complexes, following multiple disruptions caused by an unidentified man. This man was seen knocking on doors, handling door knobs, and peeking through windows late at night while evading security cameras. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office has been informed of these disruptions but is yet to start an official inquiry.

A 15-year-old boy thought to have broken probation rules, has been arrested for the second time in Sacramento. He had previously escaped from law enforcement's custody. His latest run-in with law enforcement began late last Thursday when he was pursued through Sacramento's streets, before finally being apprehended and bitten by a police dog.

FORESTHILL, Calif. -- A 19-year-old was rescued after a stunt went wrong and left him dangling by a rope from California's tallest bridge, authorities said. Deputies responding Monday evening to the Foresthill Bridge northeast of Sacramento determined the teen and his 17-year-old friend had been shooting video of him swinging from the steel span, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said.

CARMICHAEL – Dozens of units at a Carmichael-area apartment complex have been displaced after a fire late Friday morning. Metro Fire of Sacramento crews arrived at the scene near Arden Way and Fair Oaks Boulevard just before 9:30 a.m., finding flames shooting from the second floor of a center hallway-style complex. This type of structure poses challenges for firefighters for several reasons, Metro Fire says, and an additional roof built over the original roof also complicated things. The flames had soon spread between roofs, forcing crews to use chainsaws. A second alarm was called – and by the time the situation was under control, nearly 60 firefighters were at the scene.In total, Metro Fire says 33 apartment units had to be evacuated. One resident, who was found down on the ground of a unit by a maintenance person, had to be taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation. Exactly what started the fire is under investigation. The Red Cross will be helping the people displaced.
