SALT LAKE CITY — A woman aimed a loaded crossbow at three people and threatened to shoot them before SWAT took her into custody Tuesday evening. SALT LAKE CITY — Two people allegedly involved in the brutal beating of a teen boy, and then posting the assault on social media, are now facing criminal charges. Christian Thomas Hekking, 23, of West Valley City, and Mael Metzli Keith, 18, of Salt Lake City, were charged Thursday in 3rd District Court with aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony; and aggravated assault resulting in serious injury, a second-degree felony. The charges include gang enhancement penalties, if convicted. Keith was also charged with obstruction of justice, a class A misdemeanor.

Tueller, 19, was charged Friday in 3rd District Court with manslaughter and negligently operating a vehicle resulting in death, second-degree felonies; negligently operating a vehicle resulting in serious injury, a third-degree felony; reckless driving and unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor, class B misdemeanors; driving on a denied license and having an open container in a vehicle, class C misdemeanors; and several traffic infractions including running a red light, speeding and failing to obey a traffic signal.
