Texas State wrapped up the spring practice with the Maroon and Gold Spring Game. Head G.J. Despite the two losses, Wimberley has qualified for the playoffs with Tuesday’s game against Boerne that will determine whether the Texans play as either the three seed or the four seed. In their home game against the Billies, Texans could not overcome the powerful Fredericksburg offense that scored 15 unanswered runs in the first three innings before the game was called via the runrule. The Texan offense failed to register a hit against the Billies. On Friday, in their game against Davenport, the Texans were jumped by the Wolves who scored nine runs in the first inning before adding three more in the second inning. Wimberley managed just two hits in the game before the game was called via the runrule. Wimberley will look to bounce back Tuesday night against Boerne, which occurred after the time of press.
