Man flees Carthage crash
A man fled the scene of a crash outside of Carthage on Tuesday evening. Shortly after 6:30 p.m., first responders received a call alerting them to a single-vehicle crash on Union Church Road and arrived to discover that the driver of the vehicle had fled the site of the wreck, leaving behind a rolled Pontiac and a field of debris.

Harnett Co. deputies searching for missing Sanford woman
Deputies with the Harnett County Sheriff's Office are searching for a missing Sanford woman. According to Harnett County Sheriff Wayne Coats, 28-year-old Shelby Campbell was reported missing. Coats added Campbell's car was found in Florida. Detectives with the sheriff's office are investigating.

ROCKINGHAM — Over the past two weeks, the Richmond Senior High School boys golf team has shot nearly the same score on two different courses. The Raiders competed in their second Sandhills Athletic Conference match at Sanford Golf Course March 19, and hosted the SAC teams in their home match at Foxfire Resort and Golf Monday.
West End woman facing fraud charges
Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said a woman from West End is facing fraud charges. “On March 19, 2024, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a financial card fraud after multiple unauthorized charges were discovered on a personal financial account in West End, North Carolina,” said Fields in a statement issued to Sandhills Sentinel.
ClydeFest arts festival set for April 14
The annual ClydeFest arts festival is celebrating its 22nd year, taking place Sun., April 14 at Pittsboro’s Chatham Agricultural and Conference Center. The festival, put on by the Chatham Arts Council, attracts children of all ages to a wide variety of activities, with more than 2,500 children attending in 2023.
