GOWER, Mo. (KCTV) – The small town of Gower, Missouri had thousands of unexpected visitors this weekend. Catholics from all over the country made a pilgrimage to a convent in Gower – where a nun’s body appears to have not decayed, despite being in buried for four years.

A man died after a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the parking lot of the Andrew County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday. Staff with the sheriff’s office saw a man on the ground in the lot around 1:23 p.m. EMS crews arrived at the scene, but the man had succumbed to his injuries, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The way to handle as many as 15,000 visitors with four days' notice remains a mystery, but officials in Clinton County, Missouri, are out of time. PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Rushville man is in custody after crashing and killing a man who was weed-eating in a yard in Platte County. The Platte County Missouri Sheriff’s Office said 38-year-old Wesley Teague is being held on a $250,000 cash-only bond. Teague faces a driving while impaired charge after crashing his 2015 Chevrolet Camaro on May 23.

The southbound lanes of the Interstate 229 bridge at Sixth and Atchison streets in St. Joseph will close on Tuesday, May 30, for a rehabilitation project.
