Kids flock to the pools to start off summer
Hundreds showed out to start off pool season with a splash on the first open weekend, and residents are continuing to enjoy the water and summer sun. Jessica Oshel, special event communications coordinator for St. Joseph Parks, Recreation and Civic Facilities, said the first open weekend of the summer season saw a large turnout for facilities such as the Aquatic Park.
Theater camp for teens offered through library
The St. Joseph Public Library is offering teens a chance to get in on the act this summer. The Teen Theater Camp aims to bring together students from all experiences and backgrounds who share a love of theater and acting. Teens age 12 to 17 who register for the program can participate in a musical theater program as well as a weeklong reader’s theater camp in July.
