Sedona is a well-known and deeply loved destination in Arizona for those who enjoy unwinding in nature. Now, it has a whole new holistic escape that promises to help guests relax even further.

On Feb. 1, the highly anticipated Ambiente, A Landscape Hotel, opened its doors to guests looking to book one of its 40 cube-shaped atrium accommodations that blend seamlessly with the Red Rock terrain and offer 360-degree views.

“This has been a labor of love for our family over the past five years and we have been so overwhelmed by the outpouring of interest and support from future visitors around the world,” said Jennifer May, who founded Two Sister Bosses, the Sedona-based development company managing the hotel, with (you guessed it) her sister. “We’re now ready to pull back the curtain and showcase what we believe is one of the most spectacular settings in all of America.”

Each glass-enclosed room offers guests 576 square feet of living space, king-size beds, neutral-toned and live-edge wood furnishings set off by the charcoal and rusted metal frames holding the structure in place, and private terraces complete with fire pits just outside. But, the most impressive feature in each room is the floor-to-ceiling windows that provide panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. As a spokesperson for the hotel explained, every room was thoughtfully positioned either north to view the Coconino National Forest or east and south to view the Steamboat, Chimney, Coffee Pot, and Snoopy Red Rock formations. Guests can even stargaze from bed, as Sedona is a member of the Dark Sky Association, which means it has minimal light pollution, allowing for maximum views of the glittering nighttime sky.

Guests will also never go hungry, thanks to the in-room petite kitchens, which are stocked with complimentary refreshments daily. There is also an on-demand wine dispenser so they can pour a perfectly chilled glass to watch the sun go down outside or sip while enjoying the soaking tubs in the en suite.

Guests at Ambiente can expect ultra-personalized service. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a personal valet, who will assist with check-in, bring them a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, and drive them straight to their room via the property’s electric vehicle fleet.

That prime service continues to the hotel’s Velvet Spa, which offers treatments using locally sourced ingredients and extensive activities offerings, including everything from guided hikes and yoga sessions to horseback riding and balloon rides.

Guests can also dine at its signature restaurant, Forty1, led by executive chef Lindsey Dale. The seasonal menu features local delights sourced from the Verde Valley. Looking for something more casual? Try The Drifter, the hotel’s in-house food truck housed in a custom Airstream located next to the pool, or catch the electric snack and drink cart powered by ETrikeCo, which weaves through the property every day, offering guests everything from coffee to gourmet snacks and even a few craft cocktails.

And though the property is divine, one of the best things guests can do is leave — at least for a little while — to explore the 300 miles of hiking and biking trails just outside the property boundary.
