Man on parole steals more than $400 of items from Walmart
Lewisburg, Pa. — A man from out of state walked out of the Lewisburg Walmart without paying for more than $400 of merchandise, police say. James L. Torrey, 35, of Chicago, Illinois, had gone to the store in Kelly Township a total of three times between March 19 and 20 and walked out without paying for items, according to Trp. Sunbury, Pa. — Police say an allegedly intoxicated woman was driving with a 12-year-old child in her car last week when she hit two pedestrians in Sunbury. Erin Wagner, 49, of Sunbury, was driving through the intersection of South Seventh and Market streets shortly after 8:30 p.m. on April 10. Judge rejects plea deal for former Heritage Springs aide accused of elder abuse
Lewisburg, Pa. — A Union County judge rejected the plea deal Monday for a former resident aide who pleaded guilty to elder abuse charges at Heritage Springs Memory Care in Lewisburg. Though Madison Laine Cox, 19, of Montgomery, was scheduled for sentencing, Judge Michael Piecuch did not accept her plea deal. Thieves steal more than $400 of merchandise at Best Buy
Selinsgrove, Pa. — Police say two suspects stole several electronics items worth $420 at the Selinsgrove Best Buy store in Monroe Township. The two unknown suspects came to the store at Monroe Marketplace between 7:13 and 7:35 p.m. March 20. The suspects stole three items, including an Amazfit T-Rex 2 outdoor smartwatch, an Xbox wireless controller, and a Ring doorbell, according to Trp. Lee Holt at state police at Selinsgrove. The suspects arrived and left in a bright purple Tesla SUV with black tinted windows and black rims and wheels. The owner of the Tesla later contacted police after the report was made public and identified the two suspects. Police say the driver will not be charged.
