Four Maryland Lottery scratch-off tickets were the big winners this week.

A Silver Spring 7-Eleven sold one of the four tickets. The other three top winning tickets were also scratch-offs and were sold in Baltimore, Bowie, and Beltsville.

A Hyattsville man stopped at the 7-Eleven on East University Boulevard and purchased two $100,000 Crossword tickets, according to the Maryland Lottery.

The retired grandfather of two was so excited to discover he won the top prize for the game, his son urged him to calm down. He told lottery officials he and his wife plan to put his winnings in savings and may take a vacation to visit their grandchildren.

The 7-Eleven located at 650 East University Boulevard in Silver Spring receives a $500 bonus from the lottery for selling the winning ticket.

Maryland allows lottery winners to remain anonymous.

The Powerball jackpot is currently estimated at $613 million after Saturday’s drawing did not produce a jackpot winner. The next drawing takes place Monday at 10:59 p.m. ET.
