Softball: Franklin Beats Belvidere, 11-5
SOMERSET, NJ -- Zoe Ling hit for the cycle and knocked in six runs to lead Franklin to an 11-5 softball victory over Belvidere on Tuesday. Ling was 4-for-4 with four runs scored and Casey M Gomez Miranda was also 4-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI for Franklin (4-3), which scored three runs in the sixth inning to take an 11-3 lead.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER Victoria Gabryszewski scored four runs and went 3-for-4 for the Warriors, and Mia Sanchez-Balzac and April Ho both had run-scoring hits in the win. CEDAR GROVE, NJ -- Cedar Grove scored a run in the bottom of the first inning and Cayce Kavakich pitched a two-hitter to lift the Panthers to a 1-0 softball victory over Columbia on Monday. Kavakich, a junior right-hander struck out 11 batters and walked one. Keira Walsifer stars as Morristown-Breard edges Columbia - girls lacrosse recap
Freshman Keira Walsifer had three goals and three assists as Morristown-Beard topped Columbia for a 15-14 home win. Ayden Varbero added a hat trick in the win. Rebecca Weiner chipped in a pair of goals and three assists. Hannah Mortazavi and Reid Snyder added two goals each as Mo-Beard improved to 3-2 for the season.
