TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Despite an increase in cloud cover, a warming trend will send highs toward the 80° mark in Tucson Thursday afternoon. Wind gusts pick up Friday into Saturday ahead of our next weather system arriving Easter Sunday. This system will reintroduce rain and mountain snow chances with cooler temperatures in the 60s through early next week. Both Sunday and Monday are First Alert Action Days due to increased confidence in widespread rainfall. Skies clear out and temperatures warm up by the middle of next workweek.
78-year-old woman involved in Westside collision dies in hospital
A 78-year-old woman died in hospital Wednesday, March 27, from injuries she sustained in a car crash earlier in the month. Kathleen Dianne Swanston was traveling eastbound in a Buick SUV on West Irvington Road March 11, and was trying to turn left onto Calle Santa Cruz when she was struck by a Chevrolet SUV heading the opposite direction.
