Portland resident shot, killed in Gresham
A 35-year-old Portland resident was shot and killed in Gresham Sunday, March 26, in the 500 block of Southeast 197th Avenue. The Gresham Police Department received a 911 call at 7:23 a.m. that a man was on the sidewalk bleeding. Officers, along with Gresham Fire, arrived to find the victim dead. He was identified as Michael Lashone Hatcher. The State Medical Examiner’s office determined the cause of death to be gun violence. An investigation is ongoing, no arrests have been made. Gresham Police said there is not believed to be any danger to the public. Anyone with information is asked to call the tip line at 503-618-2719.

On Sunday, March 19, 2023 units conducted a 10-hour mission focused on two areas. Portland man sentenced to 6 years in prison for $30K retail theft spree
CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - A Portland man has been sentenced to prison for a retail theft spree that totaled tens of thousands of dollars. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said Martin Duane Castaway, 41, pleaded guilty on March 16 to two counts of first-degree aggravated theft and one count of organized retail theft. He was sentenced to 72 months in prison.
