1, Latrobe 0 – Maddie Brown threw a complete-game four-hit shutout, striking out seven, to lead Southmoreland to a nonsection victory over Latrobe. Riley Puckey reached on a dropped third strike and scored on a wild pitch in the first inning to account for the game’s only run for the Scotties (4-0). Hard-luck losing pitcher Kayla Williams threw a complete game, allowing two hits and striking out 10 for the Wildcats (1-1).
Frazier starts off right with win over Monessen
Frazier gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They never let the Monessen Greyhounds onto the board and left with a 15-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Frazier also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
