Milling, paving along KY 731/Lone Oak Road in Paducah to start Monday
PADUCAH — A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans milling and paving along a section of KY 731/Lone Oak Road starting Monday, April 1, in Paducah. A news release from KYTC said the work should take about a week to complete, weather permitting. The project runs along KY 731/Lone Oak Road between U.S. 45/Jackson Street and Broadway Street in front of Paducah Middle School.

PADUCAH — After years of changing owners, plans, and visions for Paducah's Katterjohn building, it's finally coming down. The city took over ownership of the Katterjohn earlier this year, after what Mayor George Bray called a very long process. In the last few weeks, the city did a weeks-long asbestos abatement before officially beginning demolition on Monday. The demolition comes as the building has sat vacant for more than a decade.
